Transport for London (TfL) is to formally submit proposals to the Government for a cross-river extension of the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) from Gallions Reach to Thamesmead in a matter of days. If approved, the South East London town would receive its first station ever, bringing one of London's biggest "rail deserts" to an end.
