There are actually two versions of the dead internet theory. The first, classic version says that the internet is now predominantly made up of bots and fake accounts. And so, when you think you are talking to a real human being, the chances are you are actually talking to a bot. But the second version is more subtle, and perhaps more interesting. This version asks why it is that no one talks like a real person when they are online. This is true of LinkedIn, obviously, but on all of the major pla
