The suspect fled with multiple law enforcement agencies involved in the chase. The suspect went down a dead road and decided to jump and run. Following the recent flood, MDWFP fisheries staff have been working over the last week at Percy Quin State Park’s Lake Tangipahoa to remove invasive aquatic plants, including water hyacinth and Cuban bulrush. These invasive species spread quickly, crowd out native plants, and can limit public access. Keeping them under control helps protect the health of the lake, while maintaining boating and fishing access for visitors. The public plays an important role, too. Always practice Clean, Drain, Dry
