Blackwell GPUs are overheating when connected in custom server racks, according to a report from The Information.

Apparently, rack suppliers have changed the rack designs at Nvidia’s request more than once. The Information first noted the issue. But Nvidia quickly pointed out to Reuters that design changes are part and parcel of developing high-end tech. The word is that the requested changes were designed to solve heat-related problems.

Nvidia shares are in the spotlight ahead of the AI darling’s quarterly results later this week and following a report that the company’s next-generation Blackwell chips have encountered issues overheating in servers.
