The Coast Guard team aboard Rescue 6553 saved nearly 200 people trapped by the deadly floods in Texas this past week.

Governor Laura Kelly announced on Saturday, July 12, that Kansas deployed Kansas Task Force 1 to assist the State of Texas in areas impacted by flooding from recent heavy rains.
