Steven Kwan and manager Stephen Vogt were headed to the All-Star Game in Atlanta. Kwan drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the top of the 10th and then made a great catch in the bottom of the inning to help preserve it. Tulane standout Michael Lombardi was selected 61st overall by the Kansas City Royals in the second round of the 2025 MLB Draft. Lombardi served as Tulane’s closer during the 2025 season while also contributing as a first baseman and center fielder.

The Kansas City Royals opted to take Van Dam, drafting him in the ninth round (278th overall). Van Dam appeared in three games this May and picked up four strikeouts in eight innings. In 2022, Van Dam was part of a sectional championship team with Cranford, reaching the Group 3 state finals.
