Hank Brennan earned $566,000 for his work as special prosecutor in the second Karen Read murder trial, records show.

Invoices show Brennan’s firm, Brennan & Associates, billed the Norfolk district attorney’s office $566,000 between September 2024 and the trial's conclusion last month.

Hank Brennan, the special prosecutor tapped to lead the Karen Read retrial, earned more than $560,000 over the course of the roughly nine months he worked on the case, records released Thursday reveal.
