Mumbai: Akashdeep Gill, the 24th accused in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, who was arrested from Fazilka, Punjab, has said that he was directly in contact with gangster Anmol Bishnoi regarding the murder plot.

The security establishment said they confirmed the detention of Anmol, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's brother, and shared details of his fake passport with US counterparts.

Akashdeep Karajsingh Gill, 22, was arrested by Punjab's Fazilka district. He is accused of providing logistic support in the shooting.

Gangster Lawrence Bishnois brother Anmol Bishnoi, accused in Baba Siddiquis murder, has been allegedly arrested in the US.

This development comes weeks after the Mumbai Police crime branch informed the special MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act) court about their intention to begin the extradition process for Anmol Bishnoi.

The arrest comes shortly after the Mumbai Police submitted an extradition request for Anmol, following confirmation from US authorities about his presence in the country.
