NFL fans may be surprised not to hear Tony Romo’s voice during CBS’ marquee game between the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings in Week 1. Romo is normally calling the top NFL game on CBS each week alongside Jim Nance.

The network has announced a final decision.

Romo struck a plea deal with prosecutors in Wisconsin last week, two months after he was pulled over in his Jeep and charged with OWI.

Romo has been on leave from CBS Sports since he pleaded no contest earlier this month to an operating while intoxicated charge in July.
