Wyle won the Emmy for the second season of “The Pitt,” HBO Max’s real-time emergency room drama, for playing Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, a role that brought him a major career revival after starring in “ER” in the 1990s.

It will also follow one shift, like the previous two seasons. Season three will be set just a few months after season two, which took place on the Fourth of July. The story will feature Dr. Robby's first day back at work after his sabbatical.
