Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer confirmed Saturday morning that starting guard Michael Carroll will miss the game at Kentucky due to injury. Carroll was downgraded to “out” on the latest SEC availability report released Friday night.

Alabama offensive lineman Michael Carroll, who missed the Kentucky win Saturday, Sept. 12 with an undisclosed injury, will continue to work with the intention of playing against Florida State, DeBoer said.

Tension continues to build to Saturday’s showdown in Lexington between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Kentucky Wildcats. It’s the first SEC matchup of the season, with both programs having plenty on the line.
