Apple is unveiling its latest generation of iPhones on Wednesday at an event headlined by new CEO John Ternus, who took over from Tim Cook on Sept. 1.

While the iPhone Duo was the standout product during Apple's September event, the second biggest news was the camera additions to the iPhone 18 Pro lineup. For the first time ever, the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max include a genuine variable aperture.

By adding a variable aperture to the 48MP main camera, the iPhone 18 Pro Max and 18 Pro gives shooters new creative ways to capture.
