Yemen's Houthi rebels said they launched attacks on locations in Saudi Arabia in September 2026, but there were no official reports the airport serving the capital Riyadh was targeted, contrary to rumours circulating on social media.
The trilateral defence agreement, signed by the three countries last month, establishes a framework for collective deterrence and stipulates that an armed attack against any one of them would be regarded as an attack against all.
