Carolina Panthers players, coaches, management, and fans witnessed an unspooling of sorts on Sunday. The defense surrendered 59 points and 291 rushing yards. The loss against the Chicago Bears didn’t feel like just another defeat.

The Falcons have not named a quarterback for Sunday's game against the Panthers and preparing the team's defense under those circumstances was a topic of conversation for Panthers head coach Dave Canales on Wednesday.

The Chicago Bears totally annihilated the Carolina Panthers in their first game of the NFL regular season on Sunday. Quarterback Caleb Williams and the Bears towered over the Panthers with a 59-37 final score.
