Chicago Weather: Warm, windy Sunday before rounds of rainfall

It was a crisp and sunny start to the day, and while temperatures are expected to rise, the sunshine won’t last.
High temperatures Monday in Chicagoland are expected to climb to near 80 degrees, well above average for this time of year. Strong to severe storms are also possible during the late afternoon hours.
Every day through Thursday has a chance to see rain or thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service.
Heavy rain that hit parts of the Chicago area caused some localized flooding Friday. Some homes, streets and vehicles were damaged in the south suburbs. Video from Friday night in Lynwood shows a downpour. There was flooding in South Chicago Heights and Steger. Witnesses said some drivers needed to be rescued.
