President Donald Trump has announced new, even crazier, plans for his proposed Triumphal Arch. The president said in an early-morning Truth Social post that the arch will actually now be some sort of military complex.
Three Vietnam veterans are suing to block Trump's Great Triumphal Arch, saying it would destroy iconic views near Arlington National Cemetery.
The arch could obstruct views along the river, the administration acknowledge, but it says those impacts "cannot be fully avoided."
The Federal Aviation Administration on Friday said President Trump's planned triumphal arch next to Arlington Cemetery and near the Lincoln Memorial poses no hazard to flights coming into and departing from Washington Reagan National Airport.
