Over the past couple of months, Trinidad Chambliss has already taken a lot of heat for his fight with the NCAA over his sixth year of eligibility. After he was granted the injunction, he proved himself on the first chance by accounting for four touchdowns against the Louisville Cardinals on September 6.

No. 9 Ole Miss rolled past Charlotte 41-9 in its home opener at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, building a 27-0 halftime lead behind quarterback Trinidad Chambliss and running back Kewan Lacy.

Ole Miss last played at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium for a first-round College Football Playoff game in 2025. In that game, coach Pete Golding led Ole Miss to a 41-10 win over Tulane in his first game as head coach.

Ole Miss needed one final drive against Louisville, and Trinidad Chambliss’ calm leadership helped the Rebels set up the game-winning kick.
