NEW ORLEANS, La. (WGNO) – The Saints dropped their season opener on the road at the Detroit Lions. It was a slow start for the offense, being down 21-0 before coming alive late in the second-half jump-started by running back Kendre Miller.
The Saints got a glimpse early on how much thought Shough puts into the way he’s throwing the ball. Quarterbacks coach Scott Tolzien worked Shough out at his Louisville pro day last spring and was immediately impressed by the simple fact that Shough wasn’t trying to “throw everything through a wall.”
