Myles Garrett to undergo surgery

The New York Giants will avoid Los Angeles Rams DE Myles Garrett in Week 2, who is headed for surgery and injured reserve (IR).
Myles Garrett recorded zero tackles and zero sacks in his Rams debut, citing a lingering knee injury during the season-opening loss to the 49ers.
A 12-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro, Williams is already a future Hall of Famer and will go down as arguably the greatest offensive tackle in NFL history. The only thing missing from his resume is a Super Bowl, and with the 49ers dismantling the odds-on favorites to open the season, that could finally be within reach in 2026.
“This was the worst version of myself that I’ve put out there,” Garrett said. “I’ve got to be better. I’ve got to find a way to recover and get back to the player I know I can be and I’ve shown that I’ve been before.”
