By Ben Aris in Berlin Ukrainian drones forced an oil products plant in Novoshakhtinsk, in Russia's Rostov region, to suspend work overnight, Governor Yuri Slyusar said, as industrial sites in Perm and Ulyanovsk were hit.

MOSCOW, Sept 25 (Reuters) - Russia's ⁠air ⁠defence units destroyed ⁠about 50 drones over the Rostov ​region overnight and a drone attack damaged ‌the Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery, ‌forcing it to suspend operations ⁠temporarily, ⁠Governor Yuri Slyusar said on Friday.

Ukraine says it used a newly developed ballistic missile in the attacks, which also targeted other parts of Russia.

Moscow and Moscow Oblast have come under a large-scale drone attack. A major fire apparently broke out at the Sofyino logistics technopark and an oil refinery in Kapotnya. Details: Sobyanin said that an attack by drones flying towards Moscow was repelled overnight. He said emergency services were working at the sites where debris had fallen.
