Bridget Sullivan, Lizzie Borden’s Irish maid who was also called “Maggie,” is a major character in Ryan Murphy’s new Netflix series, Monster: The Lizzie Borden story.

Netflix is back with the latest edition of Monster, the anthology series created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, and this time it's the case of Lizzie Borden which is hitting the small screen. Much of the Netflix adaptation of her case focusses on the relationship and friendship between Lizzie and the family's maid Bridget Sullivan,

The other people surrounding the family were their Irish maid, Bridget Sullivan; a relative named John Vinicum Morse; a mysterious “Portuguese laborer”; and Lizzie’s sister, Emma Borden. However, only Sullivan and Lizzie were known to be in the house what the hatchet attack occurred. Thus, they are the two most likely suspects.

The latest Monster instalment, about the 1892 Borden axe murders, is packed with periods and beheadings, and feels like it was made up as they went along
