The Giants capped the first Sunday of the 2026 season with their first win under head coach John Harbaugh.

The New York Giants took a 28-20 win in their opening game against the Dallas Cowboys, on the back of a brilliant performance from quarterback Jaxson Dart. The second-year star threw for 230 passing yards and had three touchdowns during the game.

Offense was in abundance during the opening week of the 2026 NFL season.

In the first quarter Sunday against the Cowboys, Dart ran for a 22-yard gain up the sideline before darting out of bounds where he was hit hard by Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, who knocked the quarterback into the sideline equipment.

It was unclear if Malik Nabers was going to play in the season opener, but he did. New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh could be to thank for that after taking matters into his own hands, literally.

Dart connected with TE Isaiah Likely for a 15-yard touchdown late in the second quarter.
