Green Bay's Lukas Van Ness clears concussion protocol. Packers rule out Javon Hargrave for Jets game
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — Green Bay edge rusher Lukas Van Ness has cleared concussion protocol while defensive tackle Javon Hargrave has been ruled out for the Packers’ game against the New York Jets on Sunday afternoon.
Looking at what stood out for the Jets at practice heading into the weekend.
The Packers received opposite updates on Lukas Van Ness and Javon Hargrave less than 24 hours before facing the Jets. The post Packers Get Mixed Injury News on 2 Defensive Stars Before Jets appeared first on HEAVY.
Green Bay hasn't been able to do anything of the sort since Micah Parsons' tore his ACL in Week 15 in Denver last season. The Packers have lost six straight games since their superstar edge rusher went down, their longest losing streak since the pre-Brett Favre era in the early 1990s.
The Green Bay Packers (0-1) travel to MetLife Stadium to take on the Jets (1-0) Sunday afternoon. The Jets will look to build on their dominant 23–10 victory over the Titans in Nashville last weekend. Meanwhile, the Packers will aim for—and likely expect—a stronger performance and a better result than their 39–22 season-opening loss to the Vikings.
The Packers likely won't have DL Javon Hargrave against the Jets, while CB Benjamin St-Juste was added to the injury report on Friday and is questionable.
