The stock market showed choppy, mixed weekly action. But Robinhood, Sandisk, AMD and Moderna rallied into buy areas.

US stock index futures pointed to a sharply higher opening on Thursday as crude oil prices and Treasury yields retreated, following a late-session sell-off on Wall Street after the Federal Reserve’s latest interest-rate increase.

While stock-index futures point toward a mixed open, early trading suggests market breadth is pointing to the downside. More than 290 of the S&P 500's stocks, or just below 60%, are trading lower in the premarket,

Dow futures rose about 367 points, or 0.7%, while S&P 500 futures gained roughly 0.8% and Nasdaq 100 futures climbed close to 1%. The rebound followed Wednesday’s weaker close, when stocks initially struggled with the Fed’s hawkish message.

Stocks were on track to open lower on Tuesday as investors fretted about the disruption of oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures slumped 479 points, or 0.9%.
