The leaders of Canada and France met on Sunday to promote their shared values amid a breakdown in relations with the U.S. The meeting comes days after the E.U. invited Canada to become an “associate member.

Canada and France have asked their space agencies and defense departments to develop and share infrastructure including space-launch systems, Prime Minister Mark Carney said on a visit to a French territory near Newfoundland and Labrador.
